Jane Groff reads to preschoolers.Jane Groff currently serves as the Director of the Kansas Parent Information Resource Center (KPIRC). While supervising all KPIRC activities, Jane focuses on providing technical assistance to Kansas schools, K-16, and offers trainings for parents concerning No Child Left Behind, school accountability, parent rights and parent involvement. Jane has been a teacher for 25 years in preschool, elementary and secondary classrooms. She is certified in early childhood education, elementary education, and special education including a Masters degree in Education. Jane worked at the Kansas State Department of Education, Special Education Services, for three years before becoming the Director of KPIRC.

Jane focuses on increasing meaningful parent involvement in education at all levels.  She believes that all families can participate in the education of their children which increases student achievement. Jane believes that if families are given timely and appropriate information, they can participate in their children’s academic success. Jane also provides information and resources to help parents support their child’s learning at home.

Jane offers professional development for educators on implementing meaningful parent involvement as well as technical assistance to schools and districts to develop parent involvement policies and school compacts. Jane disseminates parent involvement information to families, school administrators, teachers and the general public.

On a personal note, Jane has been married to her husband, Dave, for 35 years and they have 3 grown children, Jacob, Bethany and Meredith.
